Hey, ladies and gentlemen! Have you seen the new Aladdin movie trailer? I`m so crazy about this new movie, which gives me the strongest 90's vibe and sends me back to my childhood! Inspired by the trailer and the incredible soundtrack I've decided to create this Aladdin nail look and feature one of my favorite nail stamping plates by Born Pretty called Arab Passion motives*. Are you ready to dive into the Eastern night wonderland?
To create both of these Arabian nail looks I've used two basic nail stamping lacquers by Born Pretty and one stamping plate. Dark turquoise stamping nail lacquer in a deep, vivid color called Balsam*. I used it on a pure white canvas to create a refreshing contrast between the two colors. The balsam color looks a bit blue on white, but, actually, I really like this impression. For the heather purple manicure, I've decided to use a sophisticated dark purple shade called Victorian* from the Gray peel-off series and I love how it turned out!
After I had finished cleaning out my cuticle and polishing my nail plates for a manicure, I covered my nails in two thin coats of white and heather purple nail polishes. I rarely use nail polish primer for regular manicures and therefore always experience nail staining, but, honestly, I don't mind this issue. To set my manicure I like to use a No Smudge Top Coat, also by Born Pretty. It seals the whole look, makes it last longer, and, most importantly, does not blur or ruin the stamping nail art.
Wondering how to stamp short nails? Basically, nail stamping works the same way on short nail plates as on long nails, but you'll have to clean your cuticle more precisely. You can use a special peel-off latex for cuticles, it will ease the manicure procedure and help you remove the mess in no time!
Overall, Born Pretty nail stamping plates are one of my favorites at the moment. The final outcome with their plates is always crisp and precise, though you have to use a special stamping nail polish for a better look. Since I tried the whole nail stamping procedure for the first time I have drastically improved my skills and can reach the desired nail art design almost from the first attempt...almost. Have you ever tried to stamp your nails? In your view, is it a better alternative to nail stickers and freehand nail art?
Lots of love,
Liz
