Avocado is a fantastic vegetable full of healthy unsaturated fats. But, did you know that technically avocado is a type of fruit, not a veggie! Anyways, avocado is my favorite face mask ingredient, which I use when my skin needs some nourishment. And, if you feel like your facial skin needs a little bit of natural help, I will show you a few easy homemade face mask recipes you can DIY yourself.

Why is Avocado Good for Skin?
A good-quality avocado fruit holds many beneficial elements, which will nourish your skin: (Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, Vitamin C, E, and Vitamin K), monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Avocado is especially great in a face mask if you struggle with skin dryness, as it helps to restore the skin's natural oil barrier.
How to Prepare an Avocado Face Mask?
Certainly, you'll need good-quality fruit for your face mask, as your skin deserves the best! Find a fresh and ripe avocado, as it is going to make the best mask. For a few portions of the mask, you'll need about 1/4 of avocado fruit. Of course, it depends on the size of your fruit, and other ingredients you'll add to the mask.
To make the avocado base for the mas, you can simply mash a ripe fruit with a fork, until a smooth, creamy consistency. You can also use help from a blender, but it won't be necessary, as the mashing process is very quick and easy. If you want a plain avocado mask, you can already apply it to your face and neck area. Usually, I hold it for around 10-15 minutes and rinse it off with warm water. But, if you want, you can add more ingredients to your avocado mask, to reach better skincare results.

Final Thoughts
There you go! How easy was it? I believe, you can use this avocado mask not only on your skin but on any other area of your body, which needs some moisture. For example, I use it on the ends of my hair, my feet (especially the instep part, as it gets dry), and even on my elbows. And the huge benefit of such a mask is that it is all-natural and fresh! Hopefully, some of you will try it yourself. And if you do, please let me know in the comments.
