If I had to describe myself in one phrase, it would definitely be "sweet tooth." While I absolutely love leaning into the drama of a curated capsule wardrobe and experimenting with sophisticated makeup looks, our sense of smell is the one thing we simply can't trick. The nose wants what it wants! A sweet scent is always such a cheat code. It's hard to find anyone who doesn't like sweets, as they are the very first things we associate with comfort, warmth, and some of the best years of our lives: childhood.
Join me on a journey to explore the iconic Sweet Tooth perfume, created by Sabrina Carpenter and inspired by the most captivating gourmand notes: vanilla, chocolate, and marshmallow.
About the Sweet Tooth by Sabrina Carpenter
Launched in September 2022 and masterfully crafted by perfumer Gil Clavien – yes, the famous nose behind Christina Aguilera's perfume, Secret Potion – this perfume is a gourmand debut scent by our beloved Sabrina Carpenter. Growing up near a chocolate factory, she always associated the sweet scent of fresh chocolate with her childhood.
The attention to detail behind the manufacturing process is probably one of those important things that makes the Sweet Tooth perfume even more special: they prioritized ethical standards, ensuring the final formulation is entirely vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.
Oh, I leave quite an impression.

Perfume Composition:
- Top Notes: Sparkling Bergamot, Candied Ginger, Chocolate Marshmallow
- Heart Notes: Jasmine Petals, Coconut Milk, Vanilla Madagascar
- Base Notes: Cashmere Wood, Chantilly Stt™, Sugared Musks
The sweet-scented, playful composition of Sweet Tooth opens with a bright pop of sparkling bergamot and a cheeky little zing of candied ginger. This duet smells to me like a caramel; I can't really feel the flower here, yet the powerful sweetness is very apparent. But the real star of the opening is that gooey, mouth-watering chocolate marshmallow note that instantly hooks you. It is very bright, very sweet, and warm, going straight into the nostrils!
But the opening notes dissipate very quickly, transitioning into the creamy heart – a mix of coconut milk and rich Madagascar vanilla. By the time it fully dries down, it wraps you up like a cozy blanket; it is a fantastic cool-weather scent, very autumnal, and even Christmassy.
Finally, your skin is left with the comforting cashmere wood, the airy sweetness of whipped Chantilly STT™, and a beautiful, addictive trail of sugared musks that honestly just makes you want to keep smelling your wrists all day long. That's when I can finally feel the floral sweetness of this scent. But what is most important here is the durability! Sweet Tooth lasts long and lasts strong for more than 36 hours. Packaging and Design:
Sweet Tooth perfume is neatly packed in a geometric, chocolate-bar-shaped bottle with a standard spritz applicator. Underneath the cap sits a sleek, metallic spray nozzle that adds a quick flash of contrast against the pastel pink exterior. The design is superb, exceptionally cute, and features a lovely light-rose color that looks incredibly charming sitting on a makeup vanity. It perfectly captures the sweet, playful vibe of the fragrance before you even take your first sniff.
When it comes to the construction, the plastic is thin but feels quite sturdy in the hand. However, the section housing the actual perfume container appears slightly darker because the material is a bit transparent. I think the brand needs to figure out how to disguise this inner vial better to maintain the uniform, solid-color appeal of that pastel shade. It breaks the illusion of a solid chocolate bar just a tiny bit, but overall, I'm still very satisfied with the creative presentation.
Final Thoughts...
Composition: 👍👍👍👎(7/10)
Durability: 👍👍👍👎(10/10)
Overall: 👍👍👍👎 (8/10)
While it may not be an ultra-luxurious, complex fragrance, it is a beautifully solid, down-to-earth scent. It truly delivers on its promises – if you are craving a sweet blend of vanilla and caramel with a lasting power over 24 hours, this perfume gives you exactly what you would expect. And, to be honest, I salute Sabrina and the creators behind the scent and packaging for it!
Another important note: seasoned gourmand lovers may find the opening of this composition overwhelming, or almost stuffy. The initial burst of chocolate and vanilla is undeniably punchy, but it eventually settles into a very clear, straightforward sweetness. Ultimately, this fragrance is geared toward a younger demographic rather than the "quiet luxury" crowd.
Personally, I think the scent is great. To be honest, I expected not to like it, but at the same time, it doesn't strike me as anything incredibly unique. A flirty, confectionery, feminine perfume is always a win-win; the secret is simply finding what works best for your nose, and Sweet Tooth by Sabrina Carpenter may be exactly what you need.
It's neither pretentious nor overly expensive – it is exactly what it claims to be! Especially for the price of $29,99 per 30 ml (1oz.), it amazes me. Was the perfume truly made with love? I'm sure it was.
