If you are a blogger who has been letting things slide recently because you have lost all motivation and all inspiration for your project, then you will be happy to hear that there are lots of things you can do to find them and start creating great content again. Below are some of the best things you can do when you are losing motivation and creativity is hard to come by but you want to continue making your blog the best it can be…

• Remember why you started it

If you’ve run out of motivation to update your blog, try thinking about all the reasons why you started your blog in the first place. Did you want to share your thoughts with like-minded people? Make money from home? Did you simply want to stretch your creative muscles? Remind yourself of your goals and you may well find that your spirit and passion for blogging are quickly renewed.

• Move to a new location

One of the best ways to reignite your passion for blogging is to take your writing to a new location whether that be a coffee shop or the local beach, be sure to learn how to reduce Chrome battery usage sot hat you have plenty of juice then head out and watch people go by as you type. Chances are your new environment will spark lots of fun new ideas, and because you are in a new place, you might not find it so tough to get things done as you do when you’re at home with all the distractions of TV and food and family.

• Update old content

Sometimes, it is hard to get started on a new piece of content because you simply cannot think of a good idea. Maybe you find yourself with writer’s block that makes it hard for you to put down the right words to express yourself. When this happens, try to look at your old content and see if there is anything you can do to edit and improve it. This will get you working on your blog again in a way that is more accessible, and chances are that will be enough to spark inspiration in you again.

• Just do it

Okay, so this might sound silly, but if you just set a date and time to work on your blog and you commit to sitting down and your computer and typing something, anything at that time, more often than not, you will find that it is not as difficult as you expected to get started, and once you start typing a few words, more and more will flow until you have a fully-formed post ready to upload.

• Read other blogs

If you are struggling for inspiration, reading other blogs in niches similar and different to yours can be a good way to spark your creativity. When you see how other writers approach their craft and the kinds of connections they make, it can give you a new perspective on your own work and your blog can definitely benefit as a result. Ready widely and have as much fun doing so as you can and inspiration will not be far behind.

• Try a new topic

Just because you started writing about travel or baking or writing, doesn't mean that you have to keep doing so. If you have lost your passion for the subject of your blog, there is no reason why you cannot explore other topics to see what sparks the most joy in you. As humans, we are constantly evolving and there is no reason why our blogs should not do the same.

• Go through your old posts

Reading your old posts might sound like a chore because, after all, you were the one who wrote them and you know what information they contain, However, it can show you just how fast you have come as a blogger. Start at the beginning and you will see your writing get better and better as time goes on. This can be an excellent motivator because it shows you just how capable you are and how much great stuff you have created in the past; it spurs you on to keep doing your best.

Reigniting your blogging motivation is not always easy and it will not always happen overnight, but if you're determined to get it back and you want to continue on as a blogger, you can absolutely., as you can see above, make it happen, so get out there and do just that!

Lots of love,
Liz
