Your hair is a major representation of you, and taking care of it is essential. Having a vibrant, shiny color every day, like it's freshly dyed, gives you a great mood and helps you get through the day easier. But caring for colored hair can often be tedious and far too complicated, especially when you've had a hard long day. That's why adopting some simple steps in your daily routine is important to make the care process easier.
According to Danny Jelaca Hair Salon in Miami, seven hair coloring techniques exist. However, no matter which method you choose, the maintenance process for color-treated hair is the same. To make your life easier you will find three of the easiest ways to keep your color vibrant for as long as possible.
Lower the Water Temperature
It is important to know that heat is significantly harmful to hair in general. However, it can be especially damaging to dyed hair. That is why hair specialists and colorists strongly recommended keeping your hair away from high temperatures.
The first step to doing this is to wash your hair with cooler water. Hot water can cause the hair cuticle to swell and open, allowing the color to come out of the hair fiber more efficiently. As a result, the color fades faster from your hair, and that unpleasant washed-out look appears. Moreover, cold showers also make your hair stop getting greasy so quickly.
Likewise, it is not recommended to use a blow dryer or hair straightener regularly. It is best to allow it to dry on its own and use more gentle methods to keep your hair straight. Although, if you still need to blow dry your hair it is preferable to opt for cold air drying. Cool temperature is not as harsh and damaging for dyed hair and won't make it frizzy. Plus, it keeps your hair color vivid and intense.

Use Nourishing Conditioner
As simple as this may sound, the use of conditioner goes a long way in keeping your hair color looking as vibrant and refreshed as possible. It’s highly recommended to use conditioner every time you wash your hair, as it helps lock in moisture so that your hair isn’t so affected by the damaging factors it deals with daily.
Needless to say, choose a conditioner that is suitable for colored hair. Its regular use will keep your hair shiny, soft, and healthy. You can even opt for a conditioner specially created for your hair color to make the effect longer lasting and more visible.
Protect Your Hair From the Sun
The sun is the worst enemy for your hair color. Because of the UV rays, the sun damages the hair strands and leads to the fading of the color. This is why you have to be careful when you go outside while the sun is shining.
To protect you and your hair from the damaging effects of UV rays, you should use SPF protection. You can opt for a shampoo containing SPF or a special SPF hair spray that can diffuse at the roots and length whenever you feel needed. It also never hurts to walk the extra mile and use a chic hat or scarf to provide additional protection.
Lots of love,
