Hidrabene Retinol Noturno

The Hidrabene Retinol Noturno is a lightweight night serum that is formulated with retinol, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin E. It is a vegan, cruelty-free, and oil-free product suitable for all skin types. The texture of the serum is non-comedogenic, which means that it won't clog skin pores, causing acne and blackheads. It also absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn't leave a greasy residue.

The brand claims that retinol serum is a safe and effective way to reduce the appearance of aging signs. It reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, improving overall skin elasticity and firmness. Serum brightens the skin complexion and protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals

Ingredients:

Now, let's take a closer look at the formulation of the serum. One of the first ingredients in the list is Tocopheryl Acetate, also known as vitamin E acetate or a synthetic form of Vitamin E. It is a powerful antioxidant that is often used in skincare products to protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals. Next, we encounter Caprylic Capric Triglyceride – an ingredient derived from coconut oil and glycerin. In skincare, it is used as a moisture-locking ingredient that helps your skin to resist moisture loss.

But, of course, one of the most interesting ingredients in Hidrabene's serum is Retinol. A powerful ingredient that works by increasing the production of collagen and elastin. It has a magic power to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of age spots and even fight acne.

How to Use Retinol Serum by Hidrabene

Start by preparing your skin: wash it with a gentle cleanser to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup. Apply a tiny amount of serum to your face and neck, add more if necessary. Avoid the area around your eyes, as the skin it is thin and may be easily irritated. After the application, massage it into your skin until it is absorbed. After you have applied the serum, you can apply a moisturizer to lock in the moisture.

While using Hidrabene retinol serum you may experience some mild irritation (such as redness or dryness). Retinol is a pretty potent ingredient and may cause redness or dryness of the skin. My face looked dry the first few weeks I started using the serum. This is normal and should subside after a few weeks.

Final Verdict

It is time to summarize! In my opinion, an anti-wrinkle retinol serum by Hidrabene is a good product for the price. However, it doesn't hydrate the skin as well, as it claims. Retinoids often dry the skin and the amount of hyaluronic acid in the formula seems not enough to provide the skin with moisture. Of course, it is easily fixed if you follow the serum with a beauty oil or moisturizer. If compare this serum with the anti-aging retinol serum by Qrxlabs, I prefer the second one, as it leaves the skin hydrated for 24+ hours.

Lots of love,
Liz
