The year is almost over, which means many of us are looking ahead to what 2023 might hold for us. If fashion trends are fluid from season to season, jewelry trends are certainly unpredictable. You never know what to expect from them in the coming year. This is where fashion magazines and experts come in! With the help of the internet and online articles, I've rounded up 5 dazzling jewelry trends that we should all be incorporating into our daily looks in the new year of 2023.

#1. Shoulder Dusters

Draw attention to your face and neck by opting for longer-than-average earrings that help make a statement for your whole outfit. Originally popular in the Art Deco period of the 1920s and 30s, shoulder dusters are making a big comeback. These longer-than-average, slender earrings are typically 4 inches long and might feature diamonds, pearls, or gemstones.

Shoulder dusters work well with short hair or swept-back updos, as these allow your earrings to shine. Alternatively, you could opt for low-hanging diamond earrings to make an impact if the excessive length of shoulder dusters wouldn’t work for your everyday look. Either way, this is a top-notch trend that mustn't be ignored in the upcoming year.

#2. Large Pearls

Pearls are one of the most popular and dearly-loved gems. They came in a variety of colors and shapes, which makes every single pearl unique! Since the spring of 2022 pearls has been regaining their everlasting popularity among designers and fashionistas. However, this season pearls are going to be bigger than ever. And I'm talking about their size. Now sure how to pull jumbo pearls off? Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana, and Simone Rocha will show you how to nail it!

#3. Cuffs

Cuff bracelets are going to be big news in 2023. Runways of late have featured models with adorned arms, whether it’s a single statement cuff at the wrist or elaborate cuffs encompassing their upper arms. Cuffs look best when allowed to shine on bare arms, so this is best kept for parties or spring when we can finally get our arms out of our jumpers and jackets again! A single cuff – or pair of cuffs is a great way to add an air of elegance to your everyday look and you can even match them to your earrings for a put-together and elevated look.

#4. Thick Chains

Sticking with the oversized trends of 2022, along with long earrings, chunky cuffs, and maxi skirts, thick chain necklaces will be a strong staple for cool and casual looks. In a throwback to the 90s trends that have been popular of late, chains should be worn over clothing. A single chunky chain can be paired with a plain t-shirt for an effortless look or double-up with chunky chains of different lengths to make twice the impact. If you prefer a softer look, choosing a chain with a pendant gives a more feminine feel and allows you to express your individuality.

#5. Beads

If you already own beaded jewelry, it is time to take them out of your jewelry box. Untangle the knots, and make a simple revision because their year has come. Stylecaster claims that beaded jewelry will be back in the trend in 2023. Beads of all shapes and sizes were spotted at Dries Van Noten's and Louis Vuitton's spring fashion shows. They looked better than ever! Layers of thin, garland-like strands of beads suit both casual and semi-casual looks. And, if you are a hardcore fan of bohemian style, beaded jewelry is a must-have for you this year. Wear them over a flowing floor-length dress or a relaxed blouse.

Lots of love,
Liz
