Ever heard of a yacht week? If not, it’s a week-long event where you can rent a small yacht or catamaran with a group of friends and sail around various places in Europe or the Caribbean on an organized tour, sounds like fun, right? There are a few necessary things you’ve got to bring with you so you can stay fabulous on land and sea!

  • Waterproof Accessories:

The accessories you bring to yacht week must be water-resistant. This is because there will be a lot of sea activities of course and you are very likely to get almost everything wet. Just because you may get wet does not mean that you should not look glam! If you want to bring valuables, try bringing real gold earrings or a luxury watch.

If going on a European route, you can shop some amazing watches and jewelry that’ll be waterproof, like the Rolex yacht master from the Rolex Boutique of Pisa Orologeria in Milan before your departure. These are accessories that will ensure you still look fashionable even when in the sea and be able to use them for years to come!

  • Footwear:

Yacht decks can get slippery, so pack a pair of non-slip, rubber-soled shoes for safety. Flip-flops are perfect for the beach, while comfortable walking shoes are essential for exploring islands and coastal towns during excursions.

  • A Comfortable Swimsuit:

What is the point of going on an adventure in the sea if you don’t swim? To enjoy the full experience, you should also get in the water and have fun in the sea, you will therefore need a comfortable swimsuit that suits your body and makes you feel beautiful yet confident!

While enjoying the week-long event ensure the swimsuit you pick should make you feel confident and also be comfortable enough that you can swim in easily. You may struggle a bit with finding a flattering swimsuit that suits your taste while being practical to swim in, so why settle for just one when you can get two?!

  • Chic Foulards:

Foulards are important to have since you will be out in the open and also in the sea. Pick a foulard that complements your swimsuit first and foremost. The foulard can be used for your hair and also as a cover-up for your swimsuit when you need to go on land! Since you intend to use the foulard for two activities you should pick a large one so that it can easily double up for both functions.

  • First Aid Kit:

Accidents and injuries are unpredictable. It is therefore better to be safe than sorry, and what better way to do that than having your own first aid kit. Equip your first aid kit with all the essentials you will need so that nothing comes in the way of you having fun. The kit should not miss essentials such as seasickness pills.

  • Sun Protection Essentials:

Spending extended periods on a yacht means prolonged exposure to the sun. Pack a high-SPF sunscreen, preferably water-resistant, to shield your skin from harmful UV rays. Lip balm with SPF, aloe vera gel for soothing sunburns, and a compact beach umbrella can provide extra protection during beach days. Don't forget to reapply sunscreen, especially if you plan to swim.

  • Snorkeling Gear:

Many yacht destinations offer stunning underwater scenery. Bringing your snorkeling gear allows you to explore the vibrant marine life at various anchorages. Fins, a mask, and a snorkel are essential items for this adventure.

  • Towels and Linens:

While yachts usually provide linens, having a quick-dry towel can be convenient for beach outings or unexpected swims. A small travel pillow can add extra comfort to your sleeping arrangements.

Summarizing...

Yacht week is one of those once-in-a-lifetime activities. For you to fully enjoy the experience you should do it with your closest friends right now when all of you are young and energetic. The right essentials are a must-have for you to fully enjoy the vacation and you can never go wrong if you carry the items above!
