Packaging:

The Elizavecca Milky Piggy Hell-Pore Bubble Blackboom Pore Pack is housed in packaging that reflects the brand's signature whimsical and playful aesthetic. Typically, Elizavecca products, including those in the "Milky Piggy" line, feature and cute piggy – a mascot of the brand. This time, there are two piggies, an angelic and diabolical one! Inside an envelope-like packaging, there is a bulky tube with the product in white, blue, and orange colors.

Texture and Scent:

The texture is so interesting! First of all, I wouldn't wear a mask. It is more of a cleaning mask or a cleanser. It is black and contains grains of charcoal powder. When applied to the skin, you almost can't feel the grains anymore. When water is added (don't add too much!) texture turns light gray and then starts foaming with silky, fine bubbles. The scent is very soft, slightly sweet, and very fresh.

Ingredients:

So, now for the ingredients our skin will encounter while using the Bubble Blackboom Pore Pack. One of the very first components are the Stearic, Lauric, and Myristic acids. These fatty acids make the skin softer while cleansing it from dirt and oil.

The black color of the mask or cleanser is all due to the Charcoal powder (5%), which is known for its ability to absorb impurities, excess oil, and pollutants from the skin's surface and within pores. You can call it a star ingredient in the formula, as it delivers that "blackboom" and fantastic cleansing effect.

Another interesting thing I discovered in the formula is the water-soluble collagen. In skincare, water-soluble collagen is often used for its moisturizing properties and its ability to form a film on the skin, potentially providing a temporary smoothing effect. That's why the cleanser is very mild and doesn't dry the skin! But it's not just thanks to the collagen. It also includes Sodium hyaluronate, aka the salt form of hyaluronic acid. Elizavecca loves using this ingredient in their skincare. Not surprisingly, it is a powerful humectant that can hold a large amount of water, helping to hydrate and plump the skin.

Natural ingredients in the formula:

  • Beeswax: A natural wax that acts as a thickener, emulsifier, and emollient, providing texture to the product and helping to soften the skin.
  • Papaya fruit extract: It contains enzymes like papain, which can provide gentle enzymatic exfoliation, helping to remove dead skin cells and potentially improve skin texture.
  • Matricaria extract: Comes from the chamomile plant and is recognized for its ability to calm and reduce skin inflammation.
  • Rosemary extract: This extract has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which can help protect the skin and potentially soothe irritation.
  • Schisandra chinensis bark extract: Known in traditional medicine, this extract is often included for its antioxidant properties and potential to help with skin elasticity and tone.

How to Use Hell-Pore Bubble Blackboom Pore Pack?

I like to apply just a small amount of the cleanser to my face, as its texture is thick, and a little goes a long way. Then, I add a few drops of water and start working on spreading and foaming the cleanser. Hell-Pore Bubble Blackboom Pore Pack isn't too runny or too foamy; rather, it has a perfect balance between thickness and foaminess. I prefer this type of texture to classic bubbly formulas – bubbles seem to take away from the cleanser's original purpose, giving a false impression of effectiveness.

After the application, I like to keep it for a few minutes on my skin, allowing the stearic acid, lauric acid, and myristic acid to work on my skin, gently exfoliating it. Then I lather it a bit more, work with a synthetic face cloth, and rinse it away. Results: squeaky clean, no dryness, no irritation!

My Experience:

Ah, I love it! I know that Bubble Blackboom Pore Pack is promoted as a mask, but to me it's more of a cleanser, which I like to keep on the skin before washing it away. I really love the mild action combined with exfoliating properties and soothing post-cleanse effect. Later, I plan to write a whole blog post to compare it with the Elastic Pore Cleansing Foam by Elizavecca, so you can make a better choice between these two very similar products.

Final Verdict…

Hydration: 👍👍👍👎(10/10)
Texture: 👍👍👍👎(9/10)
Overall: 👍👍👍👎 (9/10)

Well, as you can judge by the review, I really loved this cleansing mask. It is, probably, one of my favorite K-beauty products so far! Its mild, refreshing action is beautifully combined with a moisturizing ability. The ingredients are fantastic, and the deal is great too. For the approximate price of $18, you'll get 150 ml (5.07 oz) of product, which is a great deal. It is also one of the largest cleansers Elizavecca has in its assortment.

What about the cons? It is hard to say, I see no cons here. At least not to my skin. Potentially, it may not deliver as potent exfoliating power as some other cleansing masks. But I use exfoliating toner every other day, so a soothing, mild action is exactly what I need. I recommend it to anyone with sensitive and dry skin.
