One of the reasons why I love autumn so much is because it's finally possible to wear my favorite long-sleeved bodycon dresses and medium-length pencil skirts. These are two seasonal items, which I recently discovered for myself and my minimalist wardrobe. Both pieces are light, sleek, and sophisticated, and it isn't always easy to look great in such clothing.

For moments like this, I always have a secret weapon, nicely hidden underneath my sleek outfit. Yes, ladies, I'm talking about the special undergarments, that smooth out any tiny imperfections, making our lives so perfectly shaped. In today's post, which I created together with the Loverbeauty store, I want to share with you a few useful shapewear tips for your cold time of the year.

Everyone needs to have at least one basic shapewear, especially if your wardrobe is full of fine blouses, skirts, and dresses. Correctly chosen shapewear instantly flattens any imperfections, shapes the curves, and boosts your confidence.

Lightweight & Breathable

The very first and the most important thing you need to know about shapewear for women — it should be comfortable and subtle, like a second skin. Pick a lightweight, breathable material like nylon or cotton blend, they will allow you to feel good even in warm clothes.

When it comes to shapewear, it is best to use black undergarments under black clothing and nude under white and colorful clothes. White shapewear worn underneath a white dress will be very prominent and no one wants to reveal the secrets.

Pick the Right Type

The next rule is to choose targeting shapewear. Want a quick tummy tuck? Then wear a waist corset instead of a full bodysuit. Want to get rid of muffin tops and back rolls? Sounds like you need a simple tank shaper. Want to create a seductive hourglass curve? Try wearing a specific plus-size waist trainer, which allows you to support your abdominal and back muscles and tighten your belly.

Make sure to choose the right size and model for your figure. Wearing one or two sizes smaller shapewear is a big no-no because it will not make justice to your luxurious curves. Stick to your own size and the shapewear won't be visible under the clothes.

High-waisted pants and skirts are so trendy at the moment. You can wear them with cropped hoodies and sweaters even during the colder autumn days. If you're not a fan of cropped tops, search for shapewear, that goes up to the bra- line. It will flatten the stomach area and won't slip down.

Lots of love,
Liz
