Did you know that sleeping with your makeup on exposes your skin to free radicals in the air? According to Dr. Schweiger who specializes in cosmetic dermatology, leaving your makeup on your skin at night leads to the breakdown of the collagen on your skin and premature aging. That is why dermatologists always insist on removing makeup at the end of each day.
In today's post, I will review the Perfect Wine Sparkling Peeling Pad by my favorite K-beauty brand Elizavecca. It is a fast and easy way to remove old makeup, cleanse, and gently exfoliate your skin at the end of the day. Additionally, this wonder product features a red sparkling wine extract. Intrigued? About Elizavecca Perfect Wine Sparkling Peeling Pad
Perfect Wine Sparkling by Elizavecca* is a set of 30 exfoliating pads that are soaked in a solution of wine extract, salicylic acid, and other skin-friendly ingredients. The pads are designed to gently exfoliate the skin, remove dead skin cells, and unclog pores. These soft pads also help to brighten the skin's complexion, improving its overall texture.
- Packaging
Elizavecca is well-known not only because of its innovative formulas but also thanks to its eye-catching, cute packaging designs! Sparkling Wine is a part of their Milky Piggy Hell-Pore product line, therefore packaging features a very cute piggy – a vanisher of all things nasty!
The back of the packaging has more detailed information about the product, including the ingredients, directions for use, and a list of benefits. The packaging itself is bulky and sturdy, which is great because you can use it to store other beauty products when you run out of peeling pads.
- Ingredients
Now for my favorite part – the skin-beneficial ingredient list! One of the top ingredients on the list is a Wine Extract (5000 ppm). It is my very first skincare product with this delicious ingredient, and as far as I did my little research, wine extract is a pretty popular counter-aging and antioxidant ingredient.
Next goes Illicium verum (anise) fruit extract. It is a natural ingredient that is also widely used in skincare products. It is derived from the star anise plant, which is native to Asia. The extract is rich in antioxidants and essential oils, which have soothing and skin-brightening benefits for the skin.
And, finally, Allantoin and Pantenoll are wrapping up the list. Allantoin is a humectant, which means that it draws moisture to the skin. This anti-inflammatory also has wound-healing properties. Panthenol is often used in skincare products to help moisturize the skin, reduce redness, and promote healing. It is also used in products for wound care, diaper rash, and eczema.
How to Use Perfect Wine Sparkling Peeling Pad by Elizavecca?
Every peeling pad features two sides: a flat, fuzzy side, which is good for exfoliation of the skin, and an embossed side that battles skin dullness and uneven tone. Start with your regular cleansing. After you are done washing your face put your fingers inside the pad and gently swipe your face with a non-embossed side. It will remove any skin impurities left after the cleanser. Don't press the pad to your skin, instead gently glide it all over your face and neck. Use soft, circular motions to massage the pad over your face for a few minutes.
The pocket-like pad makes it especially easy to work on the t-zone and the nose area. I also like to go an extra round with the embossed side on my chin, as I irregularly get skin flakes and clogged pores there. As a result, you receive a fresh, moisturized face that has a gentle fruity fragrance.
Final Verdict
Using the Perfect Wine Sparkling pads was super easy and fun! I strongly recommend them to anyone who is in a hurry: in the morning before makeup application, during the day for a quick skin cleanse, or at night. The package is super-adorable, as always, the formula is truly unique and the fragrance divine. The only slight downside in my experience is a slightly sticky residue.
Nothing too dramatic, especially if you follow the cleanse with a hydrating moisturizer, but still a bit uncomfortable. If you are looking for a gentle and effective way to exfoliate your skin, the Perfect Wine Sparkling Peeling Pad by Elizavecca is a great option to consider.
Lots of love,
Liz
