The prom season is just around the corner, so it is a perfect time to answer a good old question: 'How to find a perfect prom dress to match your body shape and vibe?'. Dressing according to your body type is always a good idea, but at times this task may be complicated. It is especially hard to find a beautiful prom dress since there are so many silhouettes and shapes on the dress market. Another complicated task is to find a stylish prom dress that will follow the latest fashion trends. Stay tuned to find out the specific dress style that will perfectly complement your body type and make you look absolutely the best on your prom.

Your task is to find a prom dress that will emphasize your tiny waist and won't hide your gorgeous curves.

Rectangle Body Shape

(little or no waist definition, shoulders, torso, and hips are about the same width)

You need a dress that will define your waistline and create a volume on your hips and torso.

Pear Body Shape

(curvy figure, hips are bigger than your torso)

To balance a pear body shape look for a prom dress that will draw attention to your upper body and reduce the size of your hips.

Apple Body Shape

(little or no waist definition, hips are smaller than torso and upper body)

If you have an apple body shape you need a dress that will make your waist look slimmer and will balance the upper and lower body proportion.

Now when we made the decision about the dress silhouette that matches your figure the best let`s find out what color will look the best on you. Personally, I don`t like to follow the color `rules` and always choose the shades that fit my mood and individuality. I would simply recommend you to choose the color you love at the moment, but generally, shades of red and purple look good on women with dark hair colors, and bright blue and green dresses look great on women with lighter hair colors. Black and white are classic chromatic colors, you can`t go wrong choosing them for a special occasion.

Lots of love,
