August last summer month and we all can feel the fresh breath of the forthcoming autumn. But luckily for everyone who was born in August this month has probably the most beautiful birthstone - the mysterious and peculiar Peridot gemstone. Peridot, also known as 'the Evening Emerald', is one of the few gemstones that occur in only one color: an olive-green. The intensity of the green color can vary from very light lime green to a deep forest green shade and if you look closely at a raw Peridot gemstone you will catch all shades of yellow-green color.

I think this gemstone and its color perfectly represent the month of August and the transition between summer and autumn. Inspired by the raw Peridot gemstones and the beautiful August I decided to create a very simple and sultry smokey eye makeup and I think you can easily recreate this look following my easy step-by-step tutorial.

How to Do an Eye Look Inspired by Peridot Birthstone?

1. Start your makeup with an eyeshadow primer, apply it all over your eyelid, and then blend with the help of your ring finger. Eyeshadow primer will help your eyeshadow to last all day long without fading and creasing.

2. Don’t forget to fill in your eyebrows, you can use eyeshadow or eyebrow pencil as you prefer. To make our eyeshadow super intense apply black eye kohl all over your eyelid, blend the edges with the help of a soft synthetic brush.

3. Now it is starting to apply dark green eyeshadow, try to choose an eyeshadow with a yellowish undertone. Use a dense natural brush for an application and dab the product on the top of the eye kohl.

4. Highlight the brow bone and inner corner of the eye, I’ve decided to use a champagne satin eyeshadow. To make your smoky eye even more deep and intense tightline your upper and lower waterline and lash line, using the same black eye kohl.

5. To finish up Peridot makeup curl your eyelashes and apply a few coats of your favorite mascara, you can also apply false eyelashes.

I want to congratulate everyone who was born in August and wish them all the best! The green smoky eye is one of my favorite makeup looks and I think it looks absolutely stunning on everyone.
