Hello, lovelies, do you like to experiment with a manicure? I will be absolutely honest with you guys, I'm not a huge fan of nail 'experiments'. A plain black or nude nail color and a soft square nail shape are my manicures of choice. But, thankfully, Born Pretty helps me to go out of my comfort zone and stimulates me to try out something interesting. As you have guessed already, today I'm going to talk about Thermal Color Changing Nail Polish* — a pretty unique nail product for me and my nails.

I have never heard about color-changing nail polish before and this was my very first experience. So, basically, it works just like the famous mood-changing ring — once the temperature of your nails gets colder or warmer, the color of your nail polish changes as well. But let's go back to the review!

First of all, a few words about the packaging. Thermal color-changing nail polish comes in a regular nail polish bottle and looks absolutely regular, except for a few marble-like stains. It has a short, medium-sized brush-applicator, which perfectly does its job.

The formula of this thermal nail polish differs from regular nail polish. It is more thick and rich, so it is harder to apply. But once thermal nail polish is applied to the nails, it dries out in no time, leaving the surface of the nail a little streaky. Thermal nail polish is very pigmented, even after the first coat color was rich and opaque, but I still prefer two coats for total coverage. The finish is absolutely matte, almost dry I would say and it looks very appealing. I have shade #3 and it looks dark fuchsia, when cold, and changes its color to a very beautiful pastel lavender, when warm.

Check out this short video to see my manicure 'makeover' and a time-lapse demonstration of the color-changing properties of this magical thermal nail polish. Please, don't mind my yellow nails, they are healthy but tinted by one of my nail polishes. I applied thermal nail polish in two coats, embellished by nails with some White 3D Nail Stickers also by Born Pretty, and sealed my manicure with a clear top coat.

A clear top coat helps to smooth out the surface of nail polish and secures the stickers. Unfortunately, thermal nail polish started wearing out at the tip of the nail on the second day. I think it is better to use it for nail art, rather than a regular manicure. But even after a few days, it hasn't lost its color-changing properties.

To sum up my review, I want to mention that I had so much fun wearing this color-changing thermal nail polish! I was so excited every time I saw that it is actually changing the color from a dark fuchsia to a very pale lavender shade. I can absolutely recommend you try it out, at least for the sake of your personal entertainment. Until next time lovelies!

Lots of love,
Liz
